South Congregational Church
Granby, Connecticut
The South Congregational Church has been an organizing focus for the town of Granby for over 100 years. Situated on the main street of the town, the building has to be adapted to current use while maintaining the historical presence and character.
Twice Aecon has adapted the structure to fit more closely the changing needs of the congregation. The church now has upgraded utilities and environmenal systems and has developed another reconfiguration to meet current needs. A third phase, planned and yet unbuilt, will add additional program space without diminishing the historical appearance and site for the building.
